Competition is the fastest way to find your flaws, and plug the holes in your game. It’s hard sometimes in the gym when you roll with the same people to see where your game is lacking, but when you compete you get immediate feedback, win or loose. It motivates you to get back into the gym so that you can perform better next time.

It will help bring focus to your training. If you are preparing for a tournament it force you to look at your game, and come up with a strategy.
