Big wins in Abu Dhabi πŸ†πŸ†πŸ†

Oss Reader

As you probably know, it was a BIG weekend for combat sports in Abu Dhabi.

UFC 294 was a huge event, especially the headliner event!

But another huge, sold out event also took place this weekend in Abu Dhabi…

The Abu Dhabi Extreme Championship (ADXC)!

Four fighters from Atos competed this weekend, and there were some HUGE wins!

First up was my incredible daughter, Sarah Galvao, who fought a fierce competitor, Vitoria Gabriella, an adult Brown Belt and World Pro Champion ✨

Having just promoted my daughter to Purple Belt, I was so excited to see what she could do by stepping up to the next level of competition…

And it’s fair to say I was more than impressed with her performance πŸ‘€

Sarah finished with a reverse loop strangle/choke in the third round, making history with the first ever submission in this new format of competition! πŸ†πŸ’œ

Next up in the cage representing Team Atos was Luiza Monteiro, who defeated a formidable opponent, Nathalie Ribeiro, with a unanimous decision from the judges to bring back another trophy! πŸ†

Jonnatas Gracie also won his fight by unanimous decision πŸ† This was a big test for Jonnatas, as he was fighting No-Gi against a tough opponent, Natan Chueng…

Jonnatas had a lot to prove (most people still think of him as a Gi fighter), and he put any critics to rest with a phenomenal performance!

Gustavo Batista was our last fighter on the card, who came up short on the night, losing a unanimous decision to Isaque Bahiense. It was still an amazing performance and we know that with some tweaks to his strategy, Batista would have brought home another trophy!

This was an incredible first ADXC event, and definitely marks something huge in the development of Jiu-Jitsu!

Let’s go!
