It was an exciting weekend at the Spyder Invitational in Seoul, South Korea. Two of our very own, Kaynan Duarte and Jonnatas Gracie, made the long trip to Korea to participate in this exclusive event. The competitors were a mix of hand picked purple, brown, and black belts divided into two divisions, below 76kg and above 76kq. Kaynan Duarte competed in the +76kg and Jonnatas fought in the -76kg. Congratulations to Kaynan for winning the gold his division, and to Jonnatas for the bronze medal. They both fought extremely hard, and we are proud of their performances.
The Spyder Invitational has definitely been gaining momentum, showcasing some of the hottest up and coming Jiu Jitsu athletes in a pro mixed belt bracket. Those competing this past weekend fought for a chance to meet those who already qualified for the Spyder BJJ Championship quarterfinals this July.
