This past weekend a small crew from Atos HQ and AOJ traveled out to San Francisco to compete at the IBJJF SF Open, and finished with spectacular results. We came away with 24 gold, 8 silver, and 2 bronze. The Atos adult black belt males completely dominated the absolute division, filling every spot on the podium. The adult female black belts, Angelica Galvao and Luiza Monteiro, also came out strong with top notch performances, each winning gold in their division and then closing out the absolute division.
A special congratulations to Angelica Galvao who stepped out on the competition stage again this past weekend after a 2.5 year hiatus. You never would of guessed that she had been away from competition that long by watching her. She picked up right where she left off with a fantastic performance. After winning gold in her division she went on to absolute, and closed out the division with teammate Luiza.
