I’m coming LIVE from the IBJJF No-Gi Worlds this week!
It’s been an incredible start for Team Atos! I feel super blessed to watch my athletes perform at such a high level 🙏🏽✨
First up, I have to shout out our Brown Belt, Vinicius Inacio, who had 4 fights, winning 2 by submission. This was his first World Title – and it was super well-deserved. Vinicius has put in the work and it’s amazing to see him reap the rewards. 💪🏽
Next, Stuart Carmody became the Blue Belt No-Gi World Champion 🥇
What a year for him – he ends 2024 with a No-Gi Grand Slam. In the final, he faced off against his teammate Igor Araujo Rosa de França 🥈
Another standout performance came from Lillian “Lillatron” Marchand 🥇 who also earned the Gold.
This was Lilly’s first time fighting No-Gi Worlds! Seeing her step up to the challenge – and come out on top – is truly inspiring. 🔥
Lilly won 3 World titles this year: Gi Double Gold Purple Belt, UAE World Pro Black Belt and No-Gi World Brown Belt.
And, of course, I couldn’t be prouder of my amazing daughter, Sarah Galvao, who took home the gold as the 2024 IBJJF No-Gi World Champion 🥇
This was her first time competing No-Gi Worlds since 2022 and to see her fight out of her comfort zone and still perform at such a high level was incredible.
Sarah ends 2024 with a total of 19 IBJJF Gold Medals and a Super Fight victory. Sarah has won 4 World Titles this year (Gi Double Gold Purple Belt, UAE World Pro Black Belt and No-Gi Brown Belt)
Angelica and I are beyond proud of her 🤎
In their first year competing as adults, Sarah and Lilly became world champions in 3 different belt divisions!
And we’re not done yet! We still have incredible athletes competing, including the rest of the Atos Dream Team: Alexa Herse, Emily Leyva, Jadeya Reber, and Dania Silva.
Let’s keep the momentum going!
Best of luck to everyone still competing – keep bringing that fire 🤜🏽❤️🔥🤛🏽
Oss,
Andre
