I didn’t have much time to celebrate after the incredible results at the IBJJF Grand Prix on Thursday…
I immediately grabbed a flight to Brazil to be in Jonnatas Gracie’s corner for his next fight…
At ADXC3 💪🏽
(That’s the Abu Dhabi Extreme Championship for those who mightn’t be familiar with this new format)
What makes the ADXC different from other tournaments is the rule set:
- Three rounds
- A one-minute break between rounds
- No points – you can only win via submission or by being the more aggressive fighter
- Fighters are locked into an MMA-style cage.
This is the second time Jonnatas competes at ADXC. This time he faces Levy Jones-Leary – one of the best guard players in BJJ.
Knowing this, we worked a lot together on the strategy for this match.
And it’s not only Gracie competing this weekend…
Ronaldo Junior fights at the UFC Fight Pass Invitational 6 on March 3rd Sunday against Kody Steels.
Kody is a well-rounded fighter who likes wrestling, playing guard and passing.
Matching Kody and Ronaldo – “The Human Highlight Reel” – makes for an exciting battle.
What’s more, this is the first time Ronaldo competes since his No-Gi World Title 💪🏽
Let’s go!
Andre
P.S. This week, we’ve been celebrating the two-year anniversary of Atos Northwest…
Run by Professor Lucas “Hulk” Barbosa…
To honor the occasion, I’ve taken 50% off “Hulk’s” courses on Atos BJJ On Demand:
The “Hulk” Smash Body Lock Pass
and
The Next Step after Closed Guard.
If you’re interested in grabbing either of these courses, just make sure the code HULKSMASH is applied at the checkout 💪🏽
This code expires tomorrow night at midnight.
